Employer-Sponsored Visa (Subclass 186)
The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) grants permanent residence to overseas workers, sponsored by their Australian employer. It is a two-stage process:
- 186 Nomination by the employer
- 186 Visa application
Eligibility requirements
Under the age of 45
Have an occupation that is on the list of eligible skilled occupations
Have at least 3 years relevant work experience, unless you are exempt
Have a positive skills assessment, unless you are exempt
Meet English language requirements
Meet health and character requirements
Benefits of an Employer-Sponsored Visa (Subclass 186)
- Live, work and study in Australia indefinitely
